Description
PROPHETIC MEANING
The Star of Bethlehem has become a powerful Christian symbol of hope, guidance, and the fulfillment of God’s promises, as it helped the three kings to find where the Messiah had born. It could be a comet or other super special celest event that appeared when Jesus was born. One of the Magi King, who came to visit the Born Messiah, said as in Matthew 2.1:
“We saw his star in the East and have come to worship him”
It is seen as a sign that the long‑awaited King of the Jews has been born, aligning with messianic expectations in the Old Testament.
About His Cross, Isaiah 53 describes a servant “who was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3) who “was pierced for our transgressions” and “by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). This is seen as a direct prophecy of Jesus’ vicarious suffering on the cross.
