PROPHETIC MEANING
“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?”
(Psam 42.1-2)
Panteth is kind of deer and makes me remember this verse on the Bible. It brings me comfort to think that somebody else is also thirsty for God as I am, as King David who wrote this Psalm was.
We should be thirsty for the Lord deeply, to seek Him with all our hearts, to have a real experience with Him and to be born as again, to be welcome in the Kingdom of God.
